Yoga

Hatha yoga is ideal for students and teachers to relax and replenish! This style is about active meditation: "ha" means Sun, while "tha" means Moon, making Hatha the Yoga of Balance. This practice so gentle and kind to the body that it's perfect for all ages, mobility and ability levels. The focus is to clear and focus our energy, calm our minds, and cultivate a peaceful state of being in the body. After yoga practice students and teachers may find themselves more calm, happy and focused in class.

We offer yoga classes with a compassionate, certified yoga instructor to help students and teachers care for body and mind. The central nervous system is housed in the spinal column and skull, so the first step to a great day is aligning our vertebrae. Yoga is scientifically proven to balance and regulate all other major body systems as well: lymphatic, endocrine, circulatory, pulmonary and digestive. Regular yoga practice may also improve sleep, mood and concentration.

A Note from Instructor Rebecca Dawn

“I love Yoga because it is a mindful practice with tremendous benefits to human health and wellbeing on all levels. I have practiced Hatha Yoga consistently for 15 years, at studios and on retreats in Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, Laos, Thailand and Australia. My love for travel and world cultures motivates my Yoga practice. I love sharing the joy of Yoga with people of all ages, ability and mobility levels. I observe the principle of Ahimsa (peacefulness and care) both on and off the mat, and hope to share some of my practice at your school. Namaste.”
